The Lee's Summit Sunrise Rotary club was founded in 1999. We have raised over $540,000 for charities both home and abroad. Currently our major fundraisers are Feed Lee's Summit (formerly Empty Bowls) and Fly the Flag.

Sunrise Rotary is a breakfast club that meets at 7:15 a.m. each Friday morning at the Gamber Community Center, located at 4 S.E. Independence Ave., Lee's Summit, MO, 64063.

Feed Lee's Summit (Empty Bowls) History

Begun in 2007, Empty Bowls has raised close to $200,000 for non-profit food providers in Lee’s Summit.

The LS Sunrise Rotary Club is excited to build on the experience and foundation of Empty Bowls to create Feed Lee’s Summit with a goal of tripling the annual proceeds.

The 2019 beneficiaries of Feed Lee’s Summit include Coldwater, Lee's Summit Social Services, Meals on Wheels and One Good Meal. We are proud to help raise funds for the collective mission of feeding the needy. Over 4,700 residents will benefit.

Our Mission

Lee's Summit Sunrise Rotary is strongly committed to the ideals of Rotary as depicted in our club vision statement: To be a vibrant service club that is engaged in the community at home and abroad.

Over the years Sunrise Rotary has developed a reputation for international service. It has hosted multiple international delegations and promoted school literacy and clean water abroad.
